Dell XPS 15 L501X Ram
Your laptop RAM stores pieces of data that the CPU is currently using for applications. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. But, it does have a correlation to the overall speed and quickness of your Dell. The speed of the RAM is governed by the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is dictated by the system software. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is removed when the system shuts down. Some RAM is mandatory even for your laptop to run at all. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
What are some hints that my laptop memory is in need of replacing?
- The laptop screen does not display anything when starting up
- The system cannot report the right memory size
- You get a lot of random reboots on your laptop throughout the day
- Nothing happens when attempting to power on your laptop
