Dell XPS 710 H2C Ram
RAM is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets blanked out every time your turn the computer off. Having the RAM installed is mandatory in order for your desktop to boot up. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as text documents or movies. But, it has more to do with the speed of the computer. The RAM in your computer stores small bits of data that the CPU is currently using for programs. The clock speed of the RAM is predetermined through the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is governed by the operating system. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
Clues to watch for to know your RAM is going to die
- The main operating system does not show the right amount of RAM
- Silence when trying to boot up your desktop
- You tend to have invalid access errors on your desktop as you use it
- The screen does not turn on when starting up
