Dell XPS H233 Video Card
There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Dedicated video cards are pretty much required for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield. All video cards processes graphics and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you. Integrated, or onboard, graphics are almost never as good as a dedicated video card, in general. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a graphics card to be added to the system. At the moment, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place.
What to see if the Dell video card is on its last leg?
- The graphics on your screen depicts lines
- The desktop restarts when beginning a game
- The display does not show up when starting up
- The video card driver has issues installing like it should
