Fujitsu LIFEBOOK P5020D Ram
RAM is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets removed when the system shuts down. The RAM speed is predetermined through the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is governed by the OS. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. But, it has more to do with the speed of the computer. RAM stores random bits of data for the CPU to use for programs. Your laptop cannot run without having the RAM installed. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, remember that bigger is always better!
Symptoms the RAM is going to die
- The OS produces random errors on your laptop throughout the day
- The OS does not display the correct amount of memory installed
- Silence when you boot up your system
- The laptop screen will not turn on when booting up
