Gateway 400 Wifi
You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your Gateway 400. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, makes use of a wireless adapter to communicate with your home network.
What are some hints that my onboard WiFi is about to go out?
- Your wireless internet connection disconnects itself during the day
- The WiFi adapter in your Gateway laptop will not connect to your router anymore
- The laptop wireless driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
