Gateway 610 Wifi
The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses an adapter in order to connect to your home router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is the current operating system on your desktop. It will be easier to buy a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have.
Major symptoms of a barely functioning WiFi adapter
- The WiFi adapter on your desktop is unable to connect to the internet
- The wireless signal disconnects and reconnects during the day
- The desktop wireless driver gives errors when installing
