Gateway 6400 Wifi
Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest. Searching for a new adapter is simple because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your Gateway 6400. You are better off buying a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. The WiFi in your server, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to communicate with your home router.
Important signs the wireless card has very little life left
- The wireless signal disconnects and reconnects throughout the day
- The WiFi adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- The wireless adapter in your Gateway server does not connect at all
