Gateway 7250R Hard Drive
Putting in a new hard drive can be a simple task if you have ever replaced a hard drive before, obviously. Your Gateway 7250R contains a hard drive which houses your documents and other data that the computer needs. HDDs are available in varying sizes and brands. Because hard drives are sensitive pieces of hardware, they will stop working whenever they want for any reason! The type of hard drive to purchase all depends on the connection inside your Gateway server. The size of the hdd is all a personal choice as almost all computers can handle any size drive.
Signs that the all-important hard drive will have to be replaced
- Your server stutters or becomes unresponsive randomly throughout the day
- The Gateway server may shut down without warning throughout the day
- Your Gateway may crash when you use a particular program
- The operating system may get stuck trying to boot up and may not ever fully boot
- On some old hard drives you may occasionally hear a tick, tick, tick sound coming from within the computer
