Gateway 920 Ram
RAM is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets blanked out when the system shuts down. RAM is necessary for your server to run at all. The speed of the RAM is prescribed within the specs of the motherboard, while the size is governed by the software. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as text documents or movies. Instead, it will impact the overall speed and quickness of your Gateway. RAM stores pieces of information that the processor uses for executing commands. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, remember that you can never have too much RAM.
Warnings your RAM memory will die soon
- Silence as you try to initiate your server
- You may get quite a few weird errors showing up on your server intermittently
- The OS does not display the correct RAM size
- The screen will not light up when you turn your system on
