Gateway E-4100 Wifi
It is cheaper and easier to purchase a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is the current operating system on your Gateway E-4100. The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to communicate with your home network. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own.
What are some indications that my wireless card is in need of a replacement?
- The wireless adapter in your Gateway desktop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The WiFi adapter driver gives errors when installing
- The wireless signal goes out randomly during the day
