Gateway E-6000 Ram
RAM is a type of volatile memory as the data it holds is deleted every time you turn your desktop off. The RAM speed is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, while the size is dictated by the operating system. The RAM in your computer stores random bits of data that the computer uses for programs. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like text documents or movies. But, it has more to do with the speed of your desktop. A computer will do nothing at all without the necessary RAM properly installed. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, remember that bigger is always better!
How do you know when your desktop memory is dying?
- The software does not display the right RAM size
- You get a lot of random errors on your desktop throughout the day
- The main screen does not display correctly when you start your desktop
- Nothing happens when attempting to start your system
