Gateway FX542X Wifi
WiFi, or wireless internet, uses an adapter to communicate with your home network. Most new Wifi adapters are plug-n-play, which means you simply plug it into a USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. Searching for a new adapter is simple because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your Gateway desktop. It is much simpler to buy a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have.
Signals your internal WiFi should need replacing
- The WiFi adapter in your Gateway desktop will not connect to your router anymore
- The WiFi goes out randomly throughout the day
- The WiFi adapter driver shows it as not installed
