Gateway GT115 Power Supply
Purchasing a new Gateway GT115 PSU is a piece of cake, provided you are still in posession of the old power supply to measure, size-wise. It is always better to replace a PSU with a similar wattage or bigger. Never go too cheap on a PSU as it is the final barrier between a large quantity of electricity and fragile internal computer components. The power supply in your Gateway desktop is responsible for powering the hard drive, motherboard and any other peripherals in the PC. It is a pretty straighforward job to install a new PSU in the GT115 desktop.
Important signs your primary power supply needs a replacement ASAP
- You notice burning plastic inside the PSU
- The Gateway will not turn on
- Your Gateway turns off while under a certain amount of stress
