Gateway P-79 Ram
RAM is actually temporary storage as its storage is removed every time your turn the computer off. The RAM speed is prescribed within the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the operating system. Your laptop RAM stores random bits of information that the computer uses for applications. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. Instead, it has more to do with the speed of your Gateway P-79. A computer will not boot without having the RAM installed. If you are ever in doubt, remember that bigger is always better!
What are the clues to watch out for to know my RAM stick is crapping out?
- The OS produces access errors on your laptop as you use it
- Nothing happens when trying to start your system
- The main screen does not turn on when you start your laptop
- The main operating system fails to come up with the correct amount of memory installed
