Integrated video cards are not as good as a dedicated video card, generally speaking. A dedicated graphics card is necessary for high-end games on the desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is in second. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board.
