Intel SE8500HW4 Ram
RAM is crucial for your server to boot up. Random Access Memory, RAM, stores random bits of data that the CPU is currently using for executing commands. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. RAM is considered temporary storage as all the data it holds gets removed every time you turn your server off. The RAM speed is governed by the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is determined by the system software. If you are ever in doubt, remember that bigger is always better!
What are some indications that my RAM memory is failing?
- The server screen does not light up when starting up
- The software does not display the right amount of RAM
- You get a lot of weird errors showing up on your server intermittently
- Silence when trying to power on your server
