Intel SR1690WB Wifi
The WiFi in your server, if so equipped, uses an adapter to communicate with your home router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. You are better off buying a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your server may have. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is the current operating system on your Intel server.
What are the signs that the wireless card is on its last leg?
- The wireless adapter driver shows it as not installed
- The WiFi adapter on your server does not connect at all
- The wireless signal disconnects and reconnects over and over again
