Most new desktops will have at least one PCIe slot open for a graphics card to be installed on the motherboard. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated graphics are integrated into the motherboard itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Integrated display adapters are almost never as good as a separate video card, generally speaking. A dedicated graphics card is required for high-end games on the desktop like Battlefield, Fortnite or Far Cry. Today, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Both an integrated and dedicated video card processes graphics and renders images to the monitor where you can see the results.

Intel STL2 video card should be purchased in factory new condition for obvious reasons, including possible wear on any old video card that may occur.
