Intel STL2 Wifi
The WiFi in your server, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware in order to connect to your home router. Most USB wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your server may have. Searching for a new adapter is simple because all you need to know is the operating system that is installed on your Intel server.
Hints to watch for in a bad wireless card
- The server wireless driver shows it as not installed
- The wireless adapter on your server does not connect at all
- Your WiFi signal drops for no reason every day
