Lenovo 3000 9680 Video Card
Dedicated video cards are usually necessary for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a graphics card to be installed. There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated graphics are integrated into the motherboard itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Integrated video cards will never be better than a dedicated video card, generally speaking. A graphics card computes and renders images to the monitor where it is displayed for you.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my desktop video card is in need of a replacement?

- The desktop freezes when starting a game
- The display does not show up when starting the computer
