Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a video card to be installed. There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, while dedicated is a separarate piece of hardware that gets installed. A dedicated graphics card is typically a required piece of hardware for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield.
