Lenovo 62 Video Card
Integrated, or onboard, graphics are almost never as good as a dedicated video card, generally speaking. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second. A dedicated graphics card is required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. All video cards computes and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where it is displayed for you. There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, while a dedicated graphics card is an individual piece of hardware that is bought and installed separately. Most newer computers will have at least one spot available for a dedicated video card to be added to the system.
Major clues your display card has very little life left
- The monitor shows fragmented images
- Your Lenovo freezes when starting a game
- The screen does not always show up as you attempt to boot up
- The driver has problems installing properly
