Lenovo BladeCenter HX5 Wifi
It is cheaper and easier to purchase a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically. The WiFi in your server, if so equipped, uses an adapter in order to talk to your router and modem. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy due to the fact that all you need to know beforehand is the current operating system on your Lenovo server.
How do you know if your onboard WiFi is dying?
- Your WiFi signal goes in and out throughout the day
- The server wireless driver shows it as not installed
- The wireless adapter in your Lenovo server will not connect to your router anymore
