Lenovo Erazer X310 Video Card
Dedicated video cards are pretty much required for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield. Currently, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Most newer computers will have at least one PCIe slot open for a dedicated video card to be added to the system. A graphics card processes graphics and sends the rendered images to a monitor where you can see the results. Integrated, or onboard, graphics will never be better than a dedicated video card, in general.
