Lenovo H320 Video Card
Dedicated video cards are usually necessary for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. There are two types of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, while dedicated is a separarate piece of hardware that gets installed. Today, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated video card market, while AMD is in second. Most new desktops will have at least one spot available for a dedicated video card to be installed. Integrated, or onboard, graphics are almost never as good as a separate video card, generally speaking. All video cards processes the input and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where it is displayed for you.
How do you know if your desktop video card is dying?
- Your display depicts vertical or striped lines
- Your Lenovo reboots when starting a graphic intensive program
- The display does not come on when starting the computer
- A driver for the video card fails to install correctly
