Lenovo IdeaPad U400 Ram
The speed of the RAM is governed by the specs of the motherboard, while the size is governed by the OS. Some RAM is mandatory in order for your laptop to boot up. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is blanked out every time you turn your laptop off. The RAM in your computer stores pieces of information that the central processing unit uses for programs. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. Instead, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, remember that bigger is always better!
Some clues your RAM will have to be replaced
- The main screen does not display correctly when starting up
- You get a lot of random errors on your laptop intermittently
- Nothing happens when attempting to boot up your laptop
- The software does not display the right memory size
