Lenovo IdeaPad Z480 Ram
RAM is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets removed every time you turn your laptop off. Your laptop RAM stores small bits of data that the CPU is currently using for programs. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. Instead, it will impact the speed of the computer. The speed of the RAM is predetermined through the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the system software. Some RAM is mandatory in order for your laptop to boot up. If there is ever a doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
Cues of a poorly working stick of RAM
- The screen does not display anything when you start your laptop
- Nothing happens as you try to initiate your system
- You may get quite a few invalid access errors on your laptop throughout the day
