Lenovo ThinkCentre 0266 Video Card
There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, while a dedicated graphics card is an individual piece of hardware that is bought and installed separately. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Integrated video cards are almost never as good as dedicated graphic cards, in general. A dedicated graphics card is required for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. A video card processes graphics and renders images to the monitor where it is displayed for you. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one PCIe slot open for a dedicated video card to be installed.
Simple indications of a faulty video card
- The graphics on your screen shows lines
- Your Lenovo restarts when trying to start up a graphic intensive game
- Nothing seems to turn on as you attempt to boot up
- A driver for the video card fails to install fully
