Lenovo ThinkCentre 0385 Ram
The RAM speed is predetermined through the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is guided by the operating system. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. But, it has more to do with the speed of the computer. The RAM in your computer stores random bits of information that the central processing unit uses for programs. RAM is necessary even for a computer to even boot. RAM is considered volatile memory as all the data it holds gets erased when you shut down your system. If there is ever a doubt, remember that bigger is always better!
Clues to watch for to know your RAM will need to be replaced
- The OS does not report the right amount of RAM
- The main screen will not light up when starting up
- Emptiness fills the air as you power on your desktop
- The system produces weird errors showing up on your desktop intermittently
