Lenovo ThinkCentre 1562 Ram
RAM is actually temporary storage as all the data it holds gets blanked out every time your turn the computer off. RAM stores random bits of information that the processor uses for programs. The RAM speed is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, while the size is governed by the operating system. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like text documents or movies. But, it has a positive impact on the speed of the computer. Some RAM is mandatory in order for your desktop to run correctly. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Red flags the RAM is going to die
- Nothing happens when attempting to initiate your system
- You get a lot of random reboots on your desktop as you use it
- The system does not show the correct amount of RAM
- The screen will not light up when you start your desktop
