Lenovo ThinkCentre 1665 Wifi
Searching for a new adapter is simple because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your desktop. The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to send and receive signals to and from your wireless router or modem. Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have.
Important clues of an inadequate onboard WiFi
- The WiFi adapter on your desktop does not connect at all
- The wireless signal goes in and out over and over again
- The wireless adapter driver cannot be installed
