Lenovo ThinkCentre 1938 Video Card

There are two types of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated graphics are integrated into the motherboard itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Integrated, or onboard, graphics are not as good as a dedicated video card, in general. Today, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated video card market, while AMD is in second. Almost all newer desktops should have at least one PCI Express slot available for a graphics card to be installed. A dedicated graphics card is required for high-end games on the desktop like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield. Both an integrated and dedicated video card processes graphics and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where you can see the results.
