Lenovo ThinkCentre 1995 Video Card
Most newer computers will have at least one spot available for a video card to be installed on the motherboard. Integrated, or onboard, graphics are almost never as good as a dedicated video card, generally speaking. A dedicated graphics card is pretty much required for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. There are two types of video cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. A graphics card processes graphics and sends the rendered images to a monitor where you can see the results. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place.
Warnings your desktop graphics card is going to die
- The monitor displays fragmented images
- The desktop restarts when starting a game
- Nothing seems to turn on when booting up
- The video card driver has issues installing all the way
