Lenovo ThinkCentre 2988 Wifi
Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is the current operating system on your Lenovo desktop. It will be easier to buy a new wireless USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have. The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to communicate with your router and modem. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically.
Clues to watch for to know your wireless internet adapter is failing
- The wireless signal disconnects itself over and over again
- The WiFi adapter driver shows it as not installed
- The wireless adapter on your desktop does not connect at all
