Lenovo ThinkCentre 3063 Hard Drive
Swapping hard drives is pretty straight forward if you have an idea of what you are doing, obviously. Your computer has a hdd, or hard disk drive, which holds your documents and other data that the computer needs. Hard disk drives are made in varying capacities and types. Hard drives can be touchy and they will stop working whenever they want for any number of reasons! The type of hard drive to get all depends on your particlular computer. The capacity size of the hdd is quite simply a personal choice as just about any computer can accept any sized drive.
What are the signs that the hard drive is dying?
- On older computers you may notice a tick, tick, tick sound coming from within the computer
- The desktop freezes when you use a particular file
- The computer may crash suddenly at seemingly random times while using it
- Your desktop hesitates or becomes unresponsive off and on through the day
- The operating system may hesitate to start and may never boot all the way
