Lenovo ThinkCentre 3224 Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores pieces of data that the central processing unit uses for executing commands. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as text documents or movies. But, it will impact the speed of the computer. The RAM speed is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, while the size is guided by the software. The Lenovo ThinkCentre 3224 will do nothing at all without having the RAM installed. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets erased when the system shuts down. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Signs the RAM needs replacing ASAP
- The system does not report the right memory size
- Silence when attempting to start your desktop
- You tend to have weird errors showing up on your desktop intermittently
- The desktop screen will not display correctly when you turn your system on
