Lenovo ThinkCentre 3235 Video Card
There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Dedicated video cards are required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. Integrated video cards are not as good as dedicated graphic cards, in general. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Most new desktops should have at least one PCI Express slot available for a dedicated video card to be installed. A video card processes graphics and sends the rendered images to a monitor where you can see the results.
Major warnings of a laboring video graphics card
- The graphics on your screen depicts fragmented images
- Your Lenovo reboots when beginning a game
- The display does not turn on when starting the computer
- The video card driver has issues installing fully
