Lenovo ThinkCentre 3305 Video Card

A graphics card processes the input and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where you can see the results. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, while a dedicated graphics card is an individual piece of hardware that is bought and installed separately. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a graphics card to be installed. Integrated video cards are not as good as a separate video card, in general. Currently, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second. A dedicated graphics card is required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield.
