Lenovo ThinkCentre 3467 Video Card
Integrated video cards will never be better than a separate video card, generally speaking. There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. A video card processes the input and renders images to the monitor where you can see the results. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a dedicated video card to be installed. Dedicated video cards are pretty much required for high-end games on the desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place.
What to see if the video graphics card is on its last leg?
- Your display shows stretched or elongated pictures
- Your Lenovo restarts when starting a graphic intensive program
- The screen does not always show up as you boot the PC
- The driver fails to install fully
