Lenovo ThinkCentre 4478 Video Card
Most new desktops will have at least one spot available for a video card to be installed on the motherboard. There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, while dedicated is a separarate piece of hardware that gets installed. A dedicated graphics card is necessary for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield. All video cards processes the input and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you. Integrated, or onboard, graphics will never be better than dedicated graphic cards, in general. At the moment, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second.
