Lenovo ThinkCentre 5051 Wifi
WiFi, or wireless internet, makes use of a wireless adapter to communicate with your wireless router or modem. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your Lenovo desktop. Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have.
What are some indications that my wireless card needs replacing?
- The desktop wireless driver shows it as not installed
- The WiFi adapter on your desktop is unable to find a signal from your router
- The wireless signal drops multiple times every day
