Lenovo ThinkCentre 5053 Ram
RAM is considered temporary storage as all the data it holds gets erased every time you turn your desktop off. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. Instead, it has more to do with the speed of the computer. Having the RAM installed is mandatory for a computer to run. Your desktop RAM stores random bits of data that the computer uses for programs. The speed of the RAM is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is determined by the operating system. If you are ever in doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
Clues that your RAM board is on its last leg
- Silence when attempting to initiate your desktop
- The OS does not show the right memory size
- The OS produces errors on your desktop throughout the day
- The screen will not display anything when you turn your system on
