Lenovo ThinkCentre 5057 Ram
Your desktop RAM stores random bits of information that the processor uses for programs. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. But, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Lenovo. The clock speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the system software. Your desktop will not boot without having RAM. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is removed every time you turn your desktop off. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Signals of a declining stick of RAM
- You may get quite a few random reboots on your desktop throughout the day
- The desktop screen will not light up when you turn your system on
- The software does not show the right amount of RAM
- Nothing happens when you initiate your desktop
