Lenovo ThinkCentre 5059 Video Card
Most new desktops will have at least one spot available for a dedicated video card to be installed on the motherboard. There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, while dedicated is a separarate piece of hardware that gets installed. Integrated display adapters are not as good as a separate video card, in general. Both an integrated and dedicated video card computes and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is in second. Dedicated video cards are usually necessary for high-end games on the desktop like Battlefield, Fortnite or Far Cry.
Major clues the video graphics card will not live much longer
- Your display depicts nothing
- The Lenovo ThinkCentre 5059 restarts when starting a graphic intensive program
- Nothing seems to show up when starting the computer
- A driver for the video card has issues installing correctly
