Lenovo ThinkCentre 5114 Ram
Having the RAM installed is mandatory for a computer to run at all. Your desktop RAM stores random bits of data that the computer uses for applications. The RAM speed is prescribed within the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is determined by the OS. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. But, it has more to do with the speed of your desktop. RAM is considered volatile memory as all the data it holds gets deleted every time you turn your desktop off. If you are ever in doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
Key clues of an ineffective RAM stick
- Emptiness fills the air as you try to boot up your desktop
- The main screen does not turn on when starting up
- The OS fails to come up with the right memory size
- The OS produces random reboots on your desktop throughout the day
