Lenovo ThinkCentre 5554 Wifi
Finding a WiFi adapter is easy due to the fact that all you need to know beforehand is the operating system that is installed on your Lenovo desktop. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your home router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own.
Some clues your wireless internet adapter will eventually need to be replaced
- The WiFi adapter in your Lenovo desktop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- Your wireless internet connection disconnects and reconnects over and over again
- The WiFi adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
