Lenovo ThinkCentre 6068 Video Card
A dedicated graphics card is pretty much required for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Integrated, or onboard, graphics will never be better than a dedicated video card, generally speaking. Most newer computers will have at least one spot available for a dedicated video card to be installed. Today, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Both an integrated and dedicated video card processes the input and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you.
Hints the display adapter is going to die
- Your display produces vertical or striped lines
- Your Lenovo restarts when starting a game
- Nothing seems to show up as you attempt to boot up
- A driver for the video card does not seem to install properly
