Lenovo ThinkCentre 6302 Video Card

A graphics card processes graphics and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you. There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. A dedicated graphics card is usually necessary for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield. Integrated display adapters will never be better than a dedicated video card, generally speaking. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a graphics card to be installed on the motherboard. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is in second.
