Lenovo ThinkCentre 7144 Ram
Having the RAM installed is mandatory in order for your desktop to run. The clock speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is dictated by the OS. RAM is actually volatile memory as all the data it holds gets deleted every time your turn the computer off. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like picture or movies. Instead, it does have a correlation to the overall speed and quickness of your Lenovo. Your desktop RAM stores random bits of data for the CPU to use for applications. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, remember that bigger is always better!
General warnings of a deteriorating RAM board
- The OS does not report the correct RAM amount
- The screen will not display anything when you turn your system on
- You may get quite a few random reboots on your desktop throughout the day
- Nothing happens when you initiate your desktop
