Lenovo ThinkCentre 7174 Wifi
Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your desktop. The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to send and receive signals to and from your wireless router or modem. It is much simpler to buy a common WiFi USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will handle everything from there.
Red flags your internal WiFi will die soon
- The WiFi adapter driver gives errors when installing
- Your WiFi in your Lenovo desktop will not connect to your router anymore
- The wireless signal disconnects itself over and over again
